IPO - Project Management
Any IPO tends to be very time consuming for members of the board. There will always be a requirement for a key board member to be involved as the main interface between the Company and the NOMAD, which as a norm would be the Financial Director.
Below is a timeline which shows the expected equity share value prior to and post flotation. As demonstrated there is a decline in the share value which is caused by two main factors.
Firstly the share price may have been over inflated for the purpose of the IPO and secondly the board’s focus has been managing the flotation rather than the running of the business.
We aim to provide a service to avoid the latter scenario by acting as a “shadow team”, which acts as an intermediary between the board and all other parties involved in the flotation (with the exception of the NOMAD, as they prefer to deal directly with the key member of the board) so that only the essential decisions will involve the other board members allowing them to maintain and focus on running the business.
The team will consist of a consultant being the project manager, who has previously been involved in IPOs, a qualified accountant who will arrange all financials assisting the FD (allowing the normal finance team to continue with the preparation of management and financial accounts and providing an in depth business insight), and any other appropriate team member dependant on the company’s needs.
